I have been going to this winery since the 80's when it was Hans Kornell Champagne Cellars. It is now owned by a former Disney Executive, and the quality of this historic winery has only improved. They do awesome reds, whites and even sparkling wines. We love to picnic here. You can bring your own food, and as long as you drink their wines on property, you're good to go.

It is now owned by a former Disney Executive, and the quality of this historic winery has only improved. They do awesome reds, whites and even sparkling wines. We love to picnic here. You can bring your own food, and as long as you drink their wines on property, you're good to go.
A restored building from the early 1900's is the main tasting room. Their wines are excellent. Right on the highway between the Culinary institute and Lincoln Ave in Calistoga... Worth a stop if you are passing by.

This is the granddaddy of outlet malls. It is a good 40 minute drive from our house, but totally worth it if you like to shop designer stores. They have everything here... literally too many places to see in a day. You have to drive them they are so big. Everything from Abercrombie to Zumies and everything in between. Even a Restoration Hardware outlet. Don't miss it if you are a shopper... We take all our foreign visitors here and they stock up.

One of the last wineries that does not charge for a tasting. Their wines are very good. They have a lovely verandah in back with wisteria in the spring that is great for sitting and enjoying your wines.

A large beautiful winery. Well known wines, great gift shops and the grounds are lovely. Attend a concert here in the summer and see top acts perform live in the vineyard.

A real Castle in California wine country. The Sattui family bought up old castles all over Europe and had the stones shipped to the valley to build an authentic looking castle, complete with torture chamber. Take the tour for sure if you have never been to Europe and seen a real castle. And even if you have, it's a lovely place to spend some time enjoying unique architecture and great wines.

The building is registered on the national historic register and is fully restored. The tasting room is large, and they offer various events on property throughout the year to club members. Mr. Mondavi still lives on the property and can be seen toodling around in the gardens on warm days. The wines are exceptional, and the property definitely a must see on any vinopiles bucket list.

2800 Main StThis is the oldest winery in the valley. Established in 1861, they also opened the first tasting room in 1881. The property has been in the C. Mondavi family since 1943. The building is registered on the national historic register and is fully restored. The tasting room is large, and they offer various events on property throughout the year to club members. Mr. Mondavi still lives on the property and can be seen toodling around in the gardens on warm days. The wines are exceptional, and the property definitely a must see on any vinopiles bucket list.
