Sightseeing
Tihany is a village on the northern shore of Lake Balaton on the Tihany Peninsula, only a 25 minute drive away from the apartment. The whole peninsula is a historical district, with amazing views, restaurants, cafes and shops. There is also a ferry service which can take you to the other side of the lake as well as opportunity to book boat trips. The Lavender House is also worth a visit and will tell you all about the history of the peninsula.
The center of the district is the Benedictine Tihany Abbey, which was founded in 1055 AD

Balatonfüred is the third largest town on Lake Balaton, with the beautiful Lakeside Promenade (Tagore ), which hosts the wine fest in August. It has lovely restaurants and cafés, boat trips an ice cream of course. The Annagora Aqua Park is also worth a visit.
