The Water of Leith Walkway is a beautiful 12 3/4 mile walk that runs through the heart of Edinburgh following the a river of the same name. It is an amazing way to see Edinburgh.

There is a well used children's play area. Leith Links is important as a venue, with the Edinburgh Mela and Leith Festival being held here every year.

Leith Theatre was a gift from the people of Edinburgh to the people of Leith, following the forced merger of the burgh of Leith into the larger city in 1920. It opened in 1932 and ceased operation in 1988, but now hosts again popular events and it's on its way to regular programming.

Great family visit, particularly handy on a rainy day. It is indeed a floating palace, and feels like if the Royal family had just stepped off. Nice tearoom, though upmarket as you would expect.

This park is one of my favourite places in Edinburgh. It is a master piece of the gardening word. There's always something interesting here, whatever the weather or season. The greenhouses are a must.
