If you have the time, Brevard is a 25 minute drive from Hendersonville and it offers a fun downtown with chef owned restaurants, breweries, and Pisgah National Forest. The waterfalls are beautiful, and there are plenty of hiking trails!

The first time I walked downtown, I followed the Reggae music right to Never Blue. It is a colorful, fun, busy establishment, and with good reason. The chef has won numerous awards, and whether you order from the taco truck or from inside, your food will be delicious. Never blue lives up to its name~

When I moved to Hendersonville and was trying to find my way around, I would drive by this place, and every time it was swamped! Everyone sits outside at picnic tables and it looks so fun! Finally stopped one day and have been there every week since. The tacos are crazy good, and the queso is so delicious! I highly recommend the steak and cheese taco along with the shrimp and grits!!

I highly recommend the steak and cheese taco along with the shrimp and grits!!

Chimney Rock is a small village near Lake Lure. 44 steps to the top of the rock with an elevation of 2280 feet above sea level will reward you with a 75 mile panoramic view and mountain top experience that will take your breath away.

Biltmore Estate is certainly a must see while you visit. Just 35 minutes from Hendersonville, it offers walking and biking trails, incredible gardens, and of course the mansion.
