People drive to Sturgis from miles around for an Olive Burger at Hot 'n Now Hamburgers on South Centreville Rd. A chain that was once widespread has all come down to the last remaining location here in Sturgis, MI. We hope it stays here forever! (Of course they offer many other burger choices as well.)

Neighborhoods

Part of what makes Sturgis unique is the abundance of our Amish neighbors that can often be seen around town. Scattered across St. Joseph Cty and nearby LaGrange Cty in Indiana are well kept Amish farms where the gentle people of Amish faith live and work. Watch for the horse and buggies on our streets and enjoy the cultural differences the Amish bring to our area. Shipshewana, IN, 25 minutes away is a tourist town centered around the Amish lifestyle. From home cooking to buggy rides to the gigantic flea market (March- October), Shipshewana is a must see town in our area.

Historic Movie Theatre

The historic downtown Strand Theatre is an enjoyable destination where you can watch the latest flick in a fun environment. The Strand has been operating since before 1932 and boasts the best movie popcorn in the area. The theatre has been upgraded many times over the years and features all new Dolby Digital sound and Dolby Digital 3D. The owners have busy during Covid, painting and deep cleaning and sanitizing every part of the four theatres and entry area. The Strand is a hometown favorite and continues to delight visitors to the Sturgis area.
