Sightseeing

Easy hiking, no need for special clothes on this paved path. Careful in the winter it can be slippery. If you want more of a challenge the trail has a longer route that I would suggest hiking boots or good running shoes you don't mind getting dirty, sunscreen, and light layers with a small pack or hydration source. Fun for the whole family and great for photos (ask me about a photography session and guided hike here). Parking does get full so I recommend getting there at least 1 hr early of when you want to hike on a summer weekend day.

Nightlife

The rooftop bar called Departure is a must visit in Portland. Great views of the city, especially at sunset. This is a favorite and I recommend it for a date night, photo op with views, or drinks with friends. The drinks art artisanly crafted and high quality, worth the price. The attached restaurants are also fine dining if you want both experiences. Call for a reservation at the restaurant, but you shouldn't have trouble getting in same day. The bar should be open, double check the hours during Covid. Dress nice casual to formal.

Year-round goth/Halloween/spooky themed themed bar with a mixology interactive experience. A little pricey but drinks are super fun, unique, and photo worthy. Food is medium portions, themed, and great quality. ***Book online for the experience and make reservations ahead of time to guarantee a spot. If you aren't able to make reservations plan on arriving at opening and you should be able to get put on the list for a table within the hour or seated at the bar with minimal waiting.
