411 Elm StThe Dallas Arboretum is just stunning all year round. It is where most engagement photos and graduation photos are taken in Dallas. In the Spring, you can take pictures in their tulips. Around Thanksgiving, you’ll find pumpkin patches around several corners. At Christmas, they have lights from the trees and displays of the days of Christmas that are just magical! Many people use it for engagement, graduation and family pictures. Some people prefer to take pictures in a few different outfits. There is one changing room at the arboretum available on the weekdays for roughly $175 for 2 hours. The townhouse is about 15-20 minutes away from the arboretum.

I recommend buying extra popcorn (which is very inexpensive) because it makes the experience extra fun. Insider tip: cover your glass with a napkin and poke a straw through it so you don’t get popcorn in your drinks.

Every bookshelf was built by their employees. They donated a little over 1 million books to charity in 2020. It’s roughly 2 miles away the townhouse. The Black Forest Cafe inside it has tasty treats and tables you can sit at to read. On Sundays around 3 pm(ish) local musicians jam outside the cafe. It’s a fun way to hear local talent.
Take a few laps around the racetrack for a few hundred dollars while in Texas. This excursion is 45 minutes to an hour away from the townhouse. It makes a great gift for a bachelor party as long as they go early in the day before they’ve had anything to drink.
