Things to see and do around Santaquin
We don't have opera or professional team sports here in little ol' Santaquin, but there are plenty of other things you can enjoy while you're here. If you're willing to drive a couple three hours, you can see some of the most AMAZING National Parks in the country. But for thinigs closer to home (30 minutes or less), see below.
Take a 24 minute drive up Payson Canyon and you'll discover this gem which is popular with the locals. A short and easy hike from the parking area ( 0.6 miles with an elevation gain of only 239 feet) brings you to an enchanting little grotto with a mini waterfall. Fun for all ages!

This is the oldest dedicated art museum in Utah. It's 20 minutes up the road from GabbyAnn's Getaway, and it's open Tuesday through Saturday and admission is free. They have nice permanent galleries/collections as well as programs and exhibits that change during the year.

Places to eat and enjoy food
Santaquin is small, so don't expect dozens of chic and esoteric eating establishments. You can go to Salt Lake for that. But here in Santaquin and the area around us, we have some pretty good eats -- good cookin' that'l stick to your ribs!
This is my favorite restaurant!! Authentic Mexican cuisine, but the best item on the menu is the three meat pineapple dish. It's an 11 minute drive from GabbyAnn's Getaway, but it's DEFINITELY worth it.
