Local Attractions

The Cataract Gorge (14min walk to the start of the gorge walking path) (20min walk to the basin) Launcestons most famous attraction, a must for any tourist. Its no grand canyon but a magic spot for a walk, coffee, swim or relax. A 457m long chairlift will take you across the basin and give you a great view up and down the gorge. Believed to be the longest single span chairlift in the world.
