Local Attractions
The Cataract Gorge (14min walk to the start of the gorge walking path) (20min walk to the basin)
Launcestons most famous attraction, a must for any tourist. Its no grand canyon but a magic spot for a walk, coffee, swim or relax. A 457m long chairlift will take you across the basin and give you a great view up and down the gorge. Believed to be the longest single span chairlift in the world.

City Park (27min walk)
This 7acre park on the edge of the city of Launceston is a great spot for a family visit or picnic. The kids can play on the playground, hop on the train, feed the ducks and watch the macaque monkeys as they run around their enclosure.
