The wolves and wolf puppies are so amazing to watch from the indoor platform with a one way mirror where you can watch the pack up close but they do not see you. Each wolf is named and the guide working there will be happy to tell you all about each of them, their personalities, their antics and place in the pack. When there are new wolf pups is is so amazing to watch them play. There are also nice wolf related souvenirs and a wolf museum.

City/town information

Haliburton Village is about 35 minutes south of my place. (Hwy 7 then turn left on the 118). This is the closest small town where you can find most amenities you might need and even visit some neat little shops and local art galleries., antique stores Things to do in Haliburton: -Your Essentials - 2 Grocery stores, pharmacies, Pet Value, post office, gas station, Bernstein's General store, and a Tim Hortons too :) -Restaurants and Cafes: Many to choose from here for breakfast, drinks, you name it! One of my favourites is Baked and Battered on Highland street. They have amazing fish and Chips + baked goods!!! HOT TIP - They LOVE dogs and will almost always even give your furry friend a FREE piece of fish! -Cute little shops along highland street to buy souvenirs and sporting equipment -Wind in the Willows Day Spa on highland street -Castle antiques (And my absolute favourite place in there is 'Our Painted Porch' for fun unique - upcycled finds!!!) - Ethel Curry Art Gallery -haliburton bulk foods and supplements on York Street is a great place to find healthy supplements that are not in the typical drugstore -Outdoors plus can help with your fishing/hunting gear or outdoorsy type needs

Minden is about 45 minutes from Kennisis Lake and a little larger that the town of Haliburton. Here you can find gas and groceries, cute shops, restaurants, parks, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware outdoor equipment stores, Kawartha Dairy shop, pet stores, LCBO and Beer stores. TIP: in the summer they often close down the main street at night a couple times a week for outdoor concerts! Look for it...! Also there are outdoor markets to enjoy on some weekends. Worth looking into

Here you can find gas and groceries, cute shops, restaurants, parks, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware outdoor equipment stores, Kawartha Dairy shop, pet stores, LCBO and Beer stores. TIP: in the summer they often close down the main street at night a couple times a week for outdoor concerts! Look for it...! Also there are outdoor markets to enjoy on some weekends. Worth looking into

West Guilford is a teeny tiny town you pass on your way to Kennisis Lake. It's on Hwy 7 just off on the 118. Here you will fine a well stocked General Store which even has a small LCBO and tiny post office. Bill and hi staff even have a meat counter with fresh cuts of steak, fish.... all your BBQ needs. Also in West Guilford there is a laundromat, fast food stand with burgers and ice-cream, community center, and souvenir store

This is THE marina on Kennisis lake! They have a small store with basic supplies and ICE-CREAM! They also rent boats! TIP: BOOK YOUR BOAT RENTAL EARLY!!!! Another TIP: They sell gas. If you are desperately in need... you can even fill up your car here.

There even sell other dairy products if you go right into the store instead of the ice cream service windows. TIP: It can get crowded in summer but if you grap your ice-cream and drive across the road to the little Rotary Park yo can sit on the beach, in their little pavilion or on your own picnic blankey to enjoy away from the hot sun and busy crowds ;)
