Great beach resort, soft white sands, and there is an octopus that lives near the shore! It's one of my favorite snorkel spots. There is a really good restaurant and bar right on the water, plenty of beach lounge chairs to use, and the grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained.

Also, there are men's and women's restrooms with an outdoor shower area for washing off all the sand before you go. Oh, and there are two food trucks permanently parked there where you can buy drinks and local favorite foods like pate.

Rent a Vehicle in Advance
We don't have Uber or Lyft , and the taxis can be expensive and rates are inconsistent. I highly recommend renting a vehicle for your stay. The vehicle rentals book up very quickly, so you have to book yours in advance! Be aware though, we drive on the LEFT side of the road here, and the roads are winding and steep with lots of potholes.

Local Facebook Group
Most of our island residents are all members of a Facebook group called "What's Going on St. Thomas" where we post everything that's happening around the island. Some of it is funny and entertaining, but there are a lot of useful things that end up being posted there as well, such as concerts, special events, farmers markets, sailing trips, restaurants, local business ads, etc. It's also a great way to get the "inside, local" scoop and will help you better understand what to expect from a culture standpoint once you're here. If you need help joining, please let me know and I can send an invite
