State Parks
This beautiful state park is quite close, about 15 minutes away and has swimming, a playground, lots of running around space. I went here all the time when my kids were little. Definitely recommend it.

This place has a special spot in my heart because the lake is so beautiful, so clean clear and cold. when my family first started coming to Maine when I was about 11, I was in Lake St George just about every day.

I've done part of this hike, always plan to never get around to it! But I know local people worked very hard to get it developed and it's a great hike.
