Things to Do in Providence
Art + History
The RISD Museum is a great place to spend a few hours or to wander around all day. There are tons of interesting exhibits to explore. My personal favorite is the Charles Pendelton House (which is built directly into the museum).
Admission is free on Sundays; the rest of the week is $15 for adults & free for youth (>18).
Fun fact - it's the 20th largest art museum in the United States.

You can count on some sort of exhibit or performance that is going on when visiting Providence.

The Rhode Island Historic Society has a variety of programs and tours. One of my favorites is a walking tour on Benefit Street that shares stories from one of the most historic streets in New England.

Trinity Rep is a smaller theater than PPAC, it has a resident company of artists that act in each show. Founded in 1963, the theater is "one of the most respected regional theatres in the country".

201 India St1.5 miles straight down from the Airbnb (opposite direction of downtown on Allens Ave which turns into Narragansett Blvd), this is a beautiful spot to walk or have a picnic. It's also a few blocks away from some cute shops and restaurants in Pawtuxet Village.

It is really well maintained and used by lots of people in Providence. Check out if there are events in the park such as live music or events at the zoo or botanical gardens.
