Even if you do not wish to be a spectator at a race, you will find the grounds beautiful and interesting. Voted #1 of the top ten tracks in North America, it is a designated historic landmark. My mother had a friend when she was in high school who lived on the property, so she was able to hang out here often.

This place is gorgeous and open to the public. Don't miss reserving in advance if you are here during a horse show or special event. Visit the Museum of the Horse, an affiliate of the Smithsonian. The Christmas light display is great!

I love this place, to eat in with friends or for take-out. The patio is best, and quieter because this place is popular with big screen TVs always tuned to sports. Lexington is a big sports town...don't forget their basketball history.

Love this place for dining in or for take-out. It's in a shopping center with tons of parking. My favorites are the Kobe burger (one burger per year for me, and this is it) and the Thai Chicken Salad for which you can substitute salmon. Very popular place!

This area was originally part of Henry Clay's Ashland Estate and it is now home to lovely houses, parks, shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood was founded in the 1920's and '30's by Henry Clay descendent so there are many trees and NO cookie cutter houses. My grandparents' church was here.

This area was originally part of Henry Clay's Ashland Estate and it is now home to lovely houses, parks, shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood was founded in the 1920's and '30's by Henry Clay descendent so there are many trees and NO cookie cutter houses. My grandparents' church was here.

Neighborhood where my mother grew up and where the cottage is located. It's adjacent to the university so there are quite a few professors and other academics living here. You can see a number of Macy's prefab houses here, like the Sears mail order houses. They were built to house soldiers and their families after WW2.
