Trips to Vermont
Guests can reach Vermont by taking the Ferry. There is a ferry crossing in Cumberland Head called Grand Isle, and there is a ferry crossing in Essex, Charlotte (closer to the house).

Water shoes!
The house has its own beach front, but the beach is rocky so I always have a pair of water shoes or old sneakers on.

Convenience and Shopping
About ten minutes from the house, you’ll find some convenience stores, like gas stations, a liquor store, and a dollar general. About 25 minutes from the house is Plattsburgh, New York. In Plattsburgh, you’ll find all of your major box stores, chain restaurants, and, in the downtown Plattsburgh, some more local restaurants!
