This is our favorite restaurant in the area! The pizza is great and the bread is way too delicious. One of my favorite dishes is the Chicken Saltimbocca. The restaurant is a little over a mile away.

Lake Dallas is an eclectic, small town in the middle of the metroplex. The people are friendly and life is just a little more relaxed. There are several great choices of restaurants and parks. Walking from the guesthouse has several options. You can wander through town or along the shoreline. At the bottom of the hill from the guesthouse you'll find the marina. To the left you can explore the heron nesting sites during the spring and summer. To the right you will find Willow Grove Park and the hiking trail. Fishing, boating, swimming or kayaking can be done at Willow Grove. Either direction you will see an abundance of wildlife.

If you want to do a little shopping, the Mercantile is a must. There are several vendors inside with a variety of unique finds. You can also find some tasty snacks! If you enjoy walking, this is about a half mile walk from your retreat and just around the corner from Beatitudes if you want to stop for lunch.

Just about everything you need is in Lake Dallas
Use your car to get into the metroplex or some of the restaurants. Otherwise your feet, a bike, a golf cart, or boat is the best way to enjoy the area. If you need the train, the closest station is the Highland Village/Lewisville Lake Station at 3.8 miles south.
