The Works Museum is also a lesser known ,, really fun museum. Geared for kids (including younger kids), everything is hands on and touchable and they often have activities available.

There's so much to do at nearby French Park. Lots of trails (including for winter snowshoeing, skiing, etc). There's a huge park for kids. A lovely swimming beach with rentable water crafts (peddle boats, canoes, kayaks).

12605 Rockford RdThere's so much to do at nearby French Park. Lots of trails (including for winter snowshoeing, skiing, etc). There's a huge park for kids. A lovely swimming beach with rentable water crafts (peddle boats, canoes, kayaks).
A lovely nearby park. Very large playground. Lots of trails, also a swimming beach. In mid-Summer through fall on Wednesday's there is usually a nice farmer's market that is fun to stroll through.

One of the closest parks to our home. There are really nice walking and biking trails. You can walk or bike there. Or drive and park right outside the playground.

Dean's Pumpkin Patch is one of our favorites. In the fall time it gets busy, but really represents the season so well: pumpkin picking, corn pit, corn maze, gourd sling. It's a lot of fun for families.

Beautiful place to go for a walk and stroll through. Nice for family photos as well. Not a huge park, but it does have walking trails that connect to other gardens and areas. Very nice to bird watch.
