The great thing about Vancouver is that its only a few hours away from one of the best mountain destinations in the world. If you're coming in the winter take a ride down one of the great ski or snowboarding slopes. If you're coming in the summer, take a hike through one of the many hiking trails! No matter what time of the year, take a stroll through Whistler village to experience some great shopping, restaurants, and even little pop-up art and culture shows. It takes about 2.5 hours to drive up to Whistler on a good traffic day, but it's definitely worth checking out. We often take a stroll up there on a Sunday to walk around, go for dinner and then head back home that night!
