Totally old fashioned diner. Great food. Maybe not vegan but the sunrise omelet is awesome The service is fabulous. Andy Griffith couldn't have asked for better.

Seafood is their specialty but they have plenty of other stuff on their menu. It's a bit pricey but very yummy.

Sightseeing
Donors have added 20 M to the place in the last few years and the foundation has done an amazing job adding to the place - the gardens, stables, enslaved areas, hired out worker areas, privies (yeah, those too!)

Monticello

Monticello is very good but Montpelier is actually a more in depth tour. It has current excavations still on going. The regular priced trip gets you upstairs while you needto pay for the primo ticket to get upstairs at Monticello. We met JM himself while touring around.
If you get to visit during the Fall Fiber and Sheep Dog Trails, it's such a fun weekend.

Montpelier's Visitor Center
