Very friendly community where you will see many walkers. Welcoming to tourists unless you drive too fast- speed limit of 20 is enforced. I know it’s hard to drive that slow! There is 1 restaurant, post office, caffe, spa/boutique on the Tennessee side. It’s nicknamed Mayberry. It’s about mile and half to the Georgia side where there is a pharmacy, gas station, Rock City, Starbucks. There are several churches. Very popular Calvary Chapel at bottom of mountain. Bike trail from st Elmo to Chattanooga and along river
