Syntagma and Omonia are the main central squares of the town; they are linked by Stadiou Street and Panepistimiou Avenue, along which some of the town’s most beautiful Neoclassical buildings have been erected. Dominating Syntagma Squareis the Greek Parliament building and in front of it the Monument of the Unknown Soldier, guarded by the Evzones in traditional costume. From this square starts the beautiful National Garden (40 acres), south of which stands the impressive Zappeion Mansion (1874-1888)

It's a modern two-store building reproducing the ancient one in the east side of the Agora and shelters the Museum of Ancient Agora. The visit will surely be interesting - all the objects are from the area since the prehistoric time till the Roman Empire.
Relax in the gallery sitting and adoring Nike statue, ruins of the Odeon of Agrippa and the marvellous view of the Temple of Hephaestus.

Bring your book, your gym clothes and/or some music and you’re good to go! Stop at tram stops “Aigaiou” or “Agias Foteinis”.

Bring your book, your gym clothes and/or some music and you’re good to go! Stop at tram stops “Aigaiou” or “Agias Foteinis”.
