The neighborhood that matters most for surfers.... the ocean and these awesome waves!
It is is five minutes to second longest left hander on the planet: Pavones. There are also several other surf breaks for all levels within 5-15 min walking or driving, including wheel chairs , chwackos, Punta Banco, sawmills, pilon , leftovers , and several others . A boat ride away is another famous right hander: montopalo.
Check with locals for the best surf spots during your stay and for your surf level, but you'll surely want to look up one of these:
—Pavones
—Wheelchairs : at the point. Rocky. Good barrels
—Chwackos - near wheelchairs : sometimes good barrels
—Montapolo - an epic right . Get there by fishing boat
—Sawmillls : smaller and fun
—Punta Banco: beach break and can pump.

Walking is Great... But a Rental Car or Quad is a Good Idea
While there are plenty of places you will want to walk to (like the beach, just a few minutes away) having a car or renting a quad will make grocery shopping and exploring the area much easier. If you opt not to rent a car or a quad, you may want to call the local taxi at times--our house manager can put you in touch.
TIP: go straight out driveway to the end of the road and go right—this brings you to the point.

Activiites in the Area...
If you'd like to take surf lessons, we can put you in touch with a great surf instructor. If you want to do a whale watching boat tour, and visit some uninhabited beaches and shore, we know a wonderful person for that too. There is so much to do... there are excellent swimming and snorkeling spots, wonderful places for hiking, eco tours, jungle tours, yoga, horseback riding, atv rentals and so much more.
There are also a few photographers in the area who can document your surf time if you like.

Great Organic Produce-order by Tuesday for Thursday delivery
If you want to have organic fruits and vegetables (as well as other items) delivered during your stay, we highly recommend ordering from a company we use. They have great produce (and more... like yogurts, cheeses, etc.) and great prices, and will deliver to the front gate of the house. Let us know and we'll pass you their website. NOTE: Order by 6pm on Tuesday to get a items delivered on Thursday.
