You don't have to be a member to enjoy the delicious food at The American Legion Post 245, but while you're there you might as well join. Membership is reasonable and with their great prices on adult beverages, the membership can pay for itself. Of course, even without the membership you can enjoy some of the best wings in Centre County plus great burger, fried fish and a variety of other "bar food." There are no strangers at The American Legion, only friends we haven't met yet.

After dinner on warm nights, enjoy gourmet s'mores toasted on their fireplace overlooking Toftrees golf course. Note that dinner and drinks for two can easily cost more than a night's stay at our townhome.

This is one of our go-to date night restaurants. The food is delicious and their bar offers traditional options along with local favorites. The exterior appearance is deceiving though - it's quite cozy inside. On warm evenings, you can even dine on their patio.

You'll never find a more honest, hard working mechanic than Chuck! Tell him Joe sent you. While you are there, pick up a dozen eggs from his hand-raised chickens. Fair warning - once you eat eggs from Chuck's chickens, you'll never want to eat store-bough eggs again.
