On base access is restricted to only official tours (you can get tickets from Canaveral Lighthouse Tours or KSC), but you can also see the launches from almost anywhere in the area! Enjoy the sun and waves at Cherie Down Park! This public beach has plenty of free parking, is generally less crowded than the neighboring Cocoa Beach, and has amazing views of rocket launches and departing cruise ships to the North!

This is a great tropical hike only a minute (literally) north of your home for the evening! This place has miles of awesome trails meandering through tropical forests. You’re sure to see some of the locals: armadillos, deer, wild boar, and maybe even a gator! Always best to leave the wildlife be - they’re much more interested in their own day-to-day than you!
