As an Italian, that grew up in an immigrant household, there is very few places I recommend when it comes to Italian cuisine. Pop's does a good job at highlighting some of the flavors in an American bar atmosphere. Do I recommend it? sure the food is pretty good and so are the drinks, does it beat my families? no comment.
