Sightseeing

Florentin in south Tel Aviv is called Tel Aviv’s Soho by many. Florentin is an old neighborhood of Tel Aviv which hasnt yet seen the same large-scale gentrification as the likes of its neighbor Neve Tzedek. Florentin has a very mixed population, traditionally characterized by poverty and transience yet now is increasingly youthful, and yuppie. It is a neighborhood undergoing change, moving away from the margins in wealth terms, along the margins creating a center for arty and alternative culture. It is a symbol of south Tel Aviv, and is a fascinating area to walk through, contrasting to the modern Tel Aviv which dominates the rest of this city, and increasingly popular for its influence

Parks & Nature

The Yarkon Park (Ganei Yehoshua) is a huge stretch of greenery in the center of Tel Aviv. The park runs from Tel Aviv port all the way passed the National Stadium in Ramat Gan and on to Bnei Brak. Rokach Boulevard is on the northern side of the park and Bavli on the southern side. Running through the park is the Yarkon River which meanders down to the sea where it pours out in to the Mediterranean at Tel Aviv Port. The park has expansive lawns where you can play, picnic and suntan but if you want to do something a little more active here are the top attractions to keep you busy in the Yarkon Park. THINGS TO DO: Rent a Bike, Rent a Boat, Playgrounds, Mini-Golf, Sportek, Meymadion Water Park..
