Bethel Beach Natural Area Preserve
State Route 609A great trail for birding, walking, or bike riding.
Haven beach is a breathtaking drive as you pass large beach grasses twice the height of your car lining the sandy driveway in. The beach is protected by large pilings of rock that can be climbed and explored by little one’s (carefully!). There are great pockets of deep water for swimming, and plenty of sand for beach games or tanning. Sometimes Haven acquires seaweed along it’s shores, but it is harmless! It has parking and a bathroom.

The Mathews Farmers Market is located on Court Street on the Historic Courthouse Green in Mathews County, Virginia, the market is open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Saturday from April through October.

Very cool! There is a great view of Mobjack Bay from the Pier and it is a fun spot to take pics.

If you like Thai food, this is it! It's a 30 minute drive from the house into Gloucester, but well worth it! Food is delicious and the prices are good. You will not be disappointed!

This is our favorite Pizza spot in town and they also deliver to the house! They have a broad menu and it is very casual - no need to get dressed up. If you want good pizza at the best price, this is the spot.
