Neighbourhoods

Open markets which sell inexpensive fruit, veggies, little cafes, burritos, outdoor seating, vegetarian restaurants, health food stores etc. Mostly ma and pa type places with a bit of urban grit.

Lots of coffee shops, bakeries and local restaurants. I like "The Golden Wheat Cafe" and "Cafe Diplomatico" for pizza/pasta.

Take the tram eastbound and you will arrive there in 35 minutes. It has a nice boardwalk, sandy beaches, and a neighbourhood vibe. Walk a few blocks north of there and there will be hip bars and restaurants to enjoy.

Strolling through the neighborhood’s brick-paved pedestrian streets, visitors might feel as if they’ve been transported to Victorian-era Canada—the craftspeople who restored the old structures kept true to the original construction materials as much as possible. Great coffee, chocolate shops, and restaurants to enjoy!

This is the largest park in the City of Toronto. It's free and close to our home. In the summer you have access to the zoo! Check out the capybara or llamas. Great place for a picnic. In the spring there are many cherry blossoms and the pond freezes over. Alot of runners and people taking photos

My fave museum! My children were here practically every weekend. The bat cave, the gemstones, and dinosaurs are some of the exciting sections. Their main exhibit changes every few months. Lots of Canadian, European, Asian, Egyptian history etc.

Take the ferry to Centre Island. It's an enjoyable 30-minute ride across lake Ontario. The island is nice to have a picnic, go for a walk, rent bikes, or canoes, go for a swim, and have lunch at the local restaurant.
