The Farmers Market in Kingston Springs is held at428 North Main Street, Kingston Springs,Tennessee, from 8 until noon on Saturdays (approx. 6 miles from here)
*Local farmers bring everything from fresh eggs, to meats, to herbs and home grown fruits and veggies.
*Local and near-by artist bring their goods in, as do honey growers, and sometimes woodsmen.
*There is often a tent with live music!
It begins earlier than I get up and closes at noon each Saturday.

Hidden Lakes, on McCrory Lane, right near I-40,(6 miles from cabin) includes short hiking trails with great views and ....guess what...HIDDEN LAKES! along the trails. It also has an interesting history of an old hotel(you can still see the remains) where people in the 1940's would go. After dinner they would hike to the top where there was a marble laid dance floor and dance the night away under the stars.
Unfortunately the marble has disappeared but there is still a beautiful view from the top of the mountain.

I mentioned some of the history in my listing. There is also a nice rock beach and if you are somewhat agile you can climb to the top of the tunnel.
