There is SO much delicious Mexican food in San Diego, although you will probably have to travel a little south of Carmel Valley to get the good stuff. Ponce's is one great option in the Kensington areas with a fun atmosphere.

Great health food grocery store, similar to Whole Foods. They have a nice buffet. Sometimes I take the kids there for a healthy meal and we eat at the tables in the back. HOT TIP- their sushi is very good and only $6 a roll on Wednesdays!

You MUST visit La Jolla Cove and check out the seals, sea lions, caves, tide pools, beaches and more! Take a hike, rent a kayak, or go snorkeling or scuba diving. The scenery is absolutely stunning.

Considered one of the best zoos in the world- with good reason! Plan to spend the whole day if you can. Recommendations: Skyfari, bus tour, 4D movies. If you have young children, bring swimsuits for the water activities at the new children's discovery outpost.
