Surrounded by the beauty of mountains in the Western
Ghats, Hirekolale Lake is one of the most wonderful places
to visit in Chikmagalur. This beautiful man-made lake is awe-
striking for every spectator in Chikmagalur and must not be
missed while visiting Chikmagalur tourist places. It was built
as a source to supply water for drinking and irrigation
purposes to the town of Chikmagalur.
Hirekolale lake
Surrounded by the beauty of mountains in the Western
Ghats, Hirekolale Lake is one of the most wonderful places
to visit in Chikmagalur. This beautiful man-made lake is awe-
striking for every spectator in Chikmagalur and must not be
missed while visiting Chikmagalur tourist places. It was built
as a source to supply water for drinking and irrigation
purposes to the town of Chikmagalur.
Baba Budan Giri also known as Dattatray Peeta is a mountain in range ofthe Western Ghats of India. Located in the Chikmagaluru taluk,
Chikmagaluru District of Karnataka, Dattatreya peeta is known for its shrine to a pilgrimage site for Hindus and Muslims. Sangh parivar organizations started "Datta Jayant'" celebrations in the late 2000s as part of their fight to claim "Sri Guru Dattatreya Swami Dattapit". People go to have a darshan of the Samadhi.
The main peaks in this range are the Mullayanagiri and Baba
Budangiri (height 1895 m). Collectively, these peaks are known as
Chandradrona Parvatha Shreni (Chandradrona Mountain Range) !1) as theynaturally form the shape of a crescent moon.

experience the charm of lush greenery and tranquility which makes this place a peaceful site.
The park has many attractions for kids and adults. It is a popular tourist spot ideal for picnics and family
vacations. There are well-maintained flower beds and manicured lawns along with a nursery. They have
different species of plants with a wide variety of flowering plants. The park offers a relaxing and secure
ambiance for visitors. There are several fun activities to keep your kids busy.

Lakkavalli-Muthodi section lies from The sanctuary is
surrounded by the scenic hills and steep slopes of the Mullayanagiri,
Hebbegiri, Gangegiri and Bababudangiri hills. 1,930 metres (6,330 ft)
Mullayanagiri peak in the Baba Budan Giri Range near the southeast edge of
the sanctuary is the highest peak between the Himalayas and the Nilgiris.

mountains. There is pool too which has been formed in the lower part of the waterfall for the
tourists to swim and play in the water and relax. It is a perfect place to break away from the
