Probably one of the best known attractions in Oslo. A walk on the roof is a nice experience, and you get a good view of the harbour. Just beside the opera house is the brand new Opera Beach, where you can swim after a visit.

The royal palace is a good experience. If the flag is up, the king is home. They are changing guards at 13.30 every day, which is an experience. The park surrounding the palace is open to the public, and is a nice place for a picnic or a stroll.
