If you're looking for fresh, organic, made to order light bites, salads and entrees, then look no further than Flower Child. It's located in the heart of the Addison/Belt Line restaurant row. While known for their plant-based dishes, they offer a diverse menu with options for meat eaters, vegans and those with sensitivities (GF/DF/Soy free, etc). Fresh made juices, lemonades, and pastry items are the bomb!

Locally owned, classic surf & turf, wine & martini house, in cozy strip center space on "restaurant row" in Addison. Kenny has several restaurants (Italian kitchen across the toll way, burger joint as well as pizza) but this is our favorite. Simple, direct, protein focused, there are items for non-meat eaters (HIGHLY recommend the wood-fired asparagus!) and they're happy to make accommodations and changes if it won't sacrifice quality of the dish.

Offering such favorites as Poutine (french fries with gravy and cheese curds) and unique twists on classics such as English Pot Roast or Chicken Fried Steak Poutine, make sure to leave rooms for the Butter Tart or Chocolate Raspberry cookies. While they've been open for almost a decade, they were recently feature on several Food Network shows, so reservations are now recommended.

This is their New Orlean's/Cajun influenced, seafood restaurant that flies in fresh fish shrimp, fish and oysters daily from the gulf. Highly recommend the Seafood Salad, which is only offered on the lunch menu, but they have all the ingredients (fresh mango, chilled shrimp, crab and roasted cashews) they will be happy to accommodate.

A North Dallas stalworth for over 2 decades, this American brasserie offers approachable, delicious gourmet options. A jazz Sunday brunch is a favorite with "make your own Bloody Mary's and sticky bun "skillet". Reservations are recommended.

Bright and airy with garage door styled walls they open during wonderful weather and heated patio during cooler months. For something super fun, reserve seating in the Airstream. Favorites include the Blackened Texas Redfish, house made charcuterie board (The Bird Cage) or Chicken and Kale salad with pickled mustard seeds, though they're nightly specials have always impressed. Highly recommend for brunch!

This location offers a gorgeous dining room and an even more spectacular French garden patio situated along the Granite Park Boardwalk around a small water feature/ lake with fountains. It's one of our favorite places for dessert as they also offer dozens of wines and champagne by the glass as well as a full bar. Highly recommend the chocolate hazelnut torte. Ultra-decadent and gluten free.

A 200-acre, suburban park, nestled among houses and condo's, yet designed to feel like your miles away in nature. Paved trails with a few gravel off-shoots and about 50% shaded, it's a great place for an early morning walk or jog. Bathrooms and water fountains on site, along with a few pavilions for picnicking. Walk to pavilion on far southside for a hill-top view of the valley.

With three man-made lakes and nearly 8 miles of paved trails that circle and cross around the lakes, sand volleyball pits, soccer, softball, baseball and cricket fields, this is a great place to hang out all day. Lots of shaded areas as well as grassy knolls. The trails are wide enough to accommodate bikes, skates, non-motorized scooters, strollers and dog walkers. There are 2 areas with playground equipment and several pavilions and tables as well as climate-controlled bathrooms and water fountains for humans and furry friends. The park is divided into east, west and central sections with parking available for all three. Lots of restaurants and grocery stores nearby for nibbles and nosh.

Plan accordingly and you could spend the entire day exploring this shopping center.
