Comida

This little restaurant is a gem. Juana prepares everything with love. Her patacones are the best in the country. Casados are super affordable. She also has a decent internet connection. Her family owns the little tienda next door as well, if you need some basic provisions.

Cute little vegetarian cafe, open Monday through Sat since 2002. Huge smoothies. A little pricey, but the ambience is great.

Surf breaks

We've got a lot of waves around here :) We listed a couple to get you started.
World class left hand wave. If you're learning, paddle out inside the bay by the fisherman's boats. If you're already an experienced surfer, you can explore the area by the river mouth. The point (top of the wave) is best for very experienced, forgiving, patient, visiting surfers and ripping locals. Check this wave out!

This break is right out front! A fun beach break for when the waves are small and the skies are clear. Breaks best at high tide. Avoid surf camp crowds for safe surfing.
