Food Scene

This is one of our favorite places to eat in Langley because of its spectacular view of the Saratoga Passage. Sit in the bar and request a table by the window. If you're lucky enough, you may see resident Orca Whales or the Gray Whale that comes to feed between February and April.

We love the commons for coffee, pastries, and delicious culinary delights at budget friendly prices. There are books to read and to purchase if you'd like, a warm cozy stove on rainy days and toys for the little ones. It's a great local hang-out inside or out. The Commons is a training facility for local youth learning a trade in food service.

The best Gelato in the world and house made chocolates. I especially enjoy the hot chocolate on colder Pacific Northwest days. If you have a sweet tooth, Mona's is the place to go.

Entertainment & Activities

This is our favorite thing to do in Langley and you will find us here at least once a week watching the hottest movie releases or independent films. Enjoy a movie and eat the best popcorn you have ever had, all for under $20-did I mention that's for two people!

Shopping

Edit-A Modern Mercantile is our favorite shop in downtown Langley. One step inside and you will find yourself surrounded by unique and beautiful things. Visiting Edit is an absolute must and our go-to place for hostess gifts, birthday, and our own personal gifts to each other. The way Holly wraps gifts is a gift in itself-truly a gem.

Parks & Nature

Stunning views and great beaches. This is located in Oak Harbor and is about a 50 minute drive from Langley. It is a must see and do while visiting Whidbey Island. All state parks in Washington require a parking fee. You can purchase a day pass but it's most economical to buy a yearly pass if you plan to visit more than one State park. Some parks have places to park that do not require a pass but those are far and few between.

Beaches, hiking trails, and stunning views. This is a beautiful location in Coupeville, approximately 30 minutes by car from Langley. After you visit the beach, hop in the car and drive to historic downtown Coupeville where you will find wonderful restaurants and views of Penn Cove. Penn Cove muscles are harvested here and served all over the world. If you like muscles, make sure to share them with a friend from Toby's Bar, a local hang-out where they are famous for their muscles. There is a fee to park unless you are able to find a spot along the shore when you arrive.
