Vitengarden is a combined museum and science centre, telling the rural history of the region of Jæren. Through interactive exhibitions, children and adults have hours of fun exploring together.
Vitengarden consits of exhibition indoors and outdoors. There is a museumfarm next to the main building. Meet the animals that were common on a farm in Jærenin the 1850s such as cows, hens, horses, geese, pigs and sheep. The children also enjoy to jump in the high at the farm. Throughout the year, themed activity days are held at Vitengarden. These days, the farm often offer the guests traditional food.

Orrestranden beach is three km long. Toilets and sale of food at the recreation centre, Friluftshuset where there are also barbeque facilities. The Jæren beaches are protected landscape and in addition flowers and birds are protected at Orre beach.
Orrestranden beach obtained the blue flag in June 2017. Access: With car. Follow road 507 to Orre. Parking at Orre Friluftshus.

This city park was renovated in 2018. It is a beautiful sculpture park in the middle of Bryne city centre. Fritz Røed was born in Bryne and is also a fameous Norwegian artist. In recomend you to get some thai take away from OK Thai (west end of the park) and enjoy it in one of the seating areas in the park.
In just a short walk from the part you will also find Garborgsenteret and Møllå Art centre with a permanent Andreas Bør exhibition as well as temporary exhibitions.
Fritz Roed Sculpture Park
TorgetThis city park was renovated in 2018. It is a beautiful sculpture park in the middle of Bryne city centre. Fritz Røed was born in Bryne and is also a fameous Norwegian artist. In recomend you to get some thai take away from OK Thai (west end of the park) and enjoy it in one of the seating areas in the park.

There is a nice walking track around the lake. Melsvatnet is also a good place to go swimming. The water gets a lot warmer here than in the sea! There are two free carparks to choose from just next to the road.

Sandtangen is where you can easily enter the beautiful woods around Frøylandsvatnet. It is a mix of woods and a park. This is a great place to go for a running! There are also different playgrounds and bbq´s for everyone to use. I would not recomend to swim in this lake because of algaes.
