Absolutely lovely park, with lovely staff! all very kind and helpful! The park is very well kept with amazing views, and great little landmarks. The map provided was brilliant and easy to follow. Great little play area for children, ample parking. Coffee shop is well priced and the coffee and scones were delicious! Well worth purchasing the season ticket!

Orana Park is the only place in New Zealand where you are able see the gorillas and they were even better than expected. Being able to sit just through glass from these handsome and intelligent creatures and even have fleeting eye contact it is a wonderful experience. Wandering around the rest of the zoo are impressive different animals and their humane enclosures. The Tasmanian devils have a very loud argument and show their fangs, the walk around is enjoyable with a regular free shuttle available if you need to give your legs a rest. There is a warm cafe to give yourself a treat. This is a great attraction and definitely worth a visit.

This tranquil 12 hectare reserve is located just 3.5 Km from Christchurch city centre. The protected bush area has free entry and the house has a wonderful cafe. Heritage Tours run 6 days per week.
