Kuzguncuk is a district located in Üsküdar district on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. The settlement on the Anatolian coast of the Bosphorus, between Üsküdar, Paşalimanı and Beylerbeyi, was formed in the northwest-southeast direction and developed in a valley opening to the Bosphorus. Its name comes from a saint named “Kuzgun Baba” who settled here during the reign of Mehmet the Conqueror. Kuzguncuk is the first Jewish settlement in the Asian part of Istanbul. Agatha Christie Stayed in Room 411 of Pera Palace Hotel Many Times One of the famous guests of Pera Palace Hotel, which hosted the most important people of a period and made its name in history as the first modern hotel in Istanbul, is Agatha Christie. The famous author stayed in room 411 of the hotel many times between 1926 and 1932, and even wrote his famous novel, Murder on the Orient Express, here. This famous novel broke sales records worldwide and became the subject of movies.
