if you want to hike a not too difficult smaller mountain, this local mountain just outside Reykjavík is perfect. you spend a couple of hours on hiking up and down so bringing food or drinks with you for a small picnic could be nice.

It really is worth spending some hours going for a walk in this "hidden green diamond in the center of Reykjavik" and no matter the time of year, it always stays beautiful

You walk a path for around one and a half hour over and in between a mountain until you reach these natural hot springs where you can bath FOR FREE, but notice that changing rooms are only behind rocks, towels just so you know 🙂

at the Reykjanes peninsula, not far from the blue lagoon and the lighthouse and the bridge between two continents you'll find this area where everything's boiling. It's really beautiful but don't get surprised by the smell, that's just geothermal water you'll smekk not rotten eggs 😉
