A Few Recommendations:
- Reservations are highly recommended, especially on weekends
- Views from the top are amazing, but please understand the routes to the summit can be steep and rocky
- Bring comfortable and proper hiking shoes
- Wear multiple layers – it can be much colder at the summit
- Have water and snacks – nothing is available on the trails
- A walking stick or poles can be very useful
- There is a small store/gift shop at the park headquarters
Hiking to the top of Mt. Monadnock is certainly worth the effort!!
