The Duomo was built following the destruction by Napoleon of the thirteenth-century cathedral that was located in the nearby Piazza della Libertà. Very beautiful dome built between 1875 and 1879 and celebrating the victory of the Lombard League over Frederick Barbarossa during the Battle in Legnago.
In the niches there are 24 statues celebrating the Patron Saints of the 24 cities of the Lombard League. Next to the church the bell tower 106 meters high.

The building has a star-shaped plan, with six ramparts surrounded by ditches.
A nice place to walk.
