Trams are very easy to hop on and hop off
Trams will get from Broadbeach out the front of Pacific Fair all the way up the coast to Southport then to Helensvale. Easy to hop on and hop off with plenty of stops along the way and regular trams.
If you are flying in from Brisbane, you can catch the train to Helensvale, get off then jump onto a tram which can take you pretty close if not to your accommodation.
