Istedgade was in the past the hard street of Copenhagen - with a very brogged clientele. This is still seen in the part towards the central station. However, the street has gotten a new life in recent years. A lot of cool cafes and shops can now be seen from Absalonsgade and afterwards - many young Copenhageners meet with their prams and a good cup of coffee.
