Super busy in summer. 2nd greatest spot for full moon rise, best spot for local watching, and boats coming in and out of the harbor.

The view of the rising moon, the fireworks, the gorgeous harbor and town of Camden. 3 ways to hike up, there is a driving road but what's the fun in that? Trail head for the steep climb is 2 blocks from our door - ask us. Easier/longer hiking trail is called the "carriage trail" about 2 miles from the center on Route 52, cars park on pull off on side of road. An all season trail, well used.

Probably the best "beach" in the midcoast. Actual sand, some picnic tables, some shade, great ledges to the right of the beach to wander or pick your private spot on. About a 40 min drive from us, depending on summer traffic.

Several good seafood options for lunch. Takeout or eat outside. Low tide on the big beach is pretty cool, goes on forever. During the full moon rises you can usually find a few parties and bonfires on these beaches.

You can access from parking area up Route one just north of our location or by climbing up the steep face of Mt Battie a few blocks away and spend the day wandering the trails, bring the map! There is also parking and access off Youngtown road in Lincolnville. In Winter, THIS is the best place to park for skiing up the multi-use trail, (XC skiers, walkers, snowmobiles and cyclists )a long slow uphill gravel road that leads to Cameron mountain trails.

Great, easy and beautiful walk or bike on gravel drive along the ocean, local swim off the granite ledges in almost any weather! Parking in off season at the Children's chapel or the Rockport golf club to walk. Can drive and park on the point in summer if you must.
