Hidden park behind the local school. Great on a sunny day.
Ladds Addition is a nice hike from our house. Check out the community maintained rose gardens and the forested traffic circle. Palio Dessert and Espresso is a great place for coffee, dessert, and studying.

Getting Around
I highly recommend the TriMet Trip Planner. I also recommend getting the Hop Fastpass app for your smart phone
An all-day adult pass is $5, a 2-hour pass is $2.50. You can pay cash on the bus, but they don’t make change. The bus accepts dollar bills.
The #14 bus runs from our house to downtown. Ride the #14 bus to SE 32nd Place (Stop ID 2617). Don't worry if you don't get off exactly there, just hop off at the next one on SE 34th. The 14 runs from downtown to I205 and the Green Line Max on the east side.
