This pedestrian bridge was the first fully-concrete bridge to cross the Trinity River. It was the most important west-facing point of entry for the city until the mid 1950's. Today, it is purely pedestrian and offers spectacular views of Large Marge & the skyline.

Trinity Groves is a series of upscale restaurants in a booming part of Oak Cliff. Many of the restaurants here have rotating menus, and some have celebrity chefs. (Not too vegetarian-friendly.) Parking is valet only, so I suggest an Uber. Afterwards, stroll over to the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge and check out the awesome skyline view of downtown Dallas, Large Marge bridge, & the Trinity River.

Home-style and comfort food since 1956! They have generous portions and great for early birds. Blue plate specials have heaping servings. It's no wonder every local is a Norma's fan!

This nearby park is excellent for a dirty bike trail, jog, or just a pleasant stroll through fields & woods to forget you're in the city. Open from sunrise to sunset, totally free to enter & park. Some of the trails cross over water so they may be very muddy after a rain.

This urban park is Dallas' answer to too many highways and not enough green space. A few years ago, private donations allowed this $80M park to be built over an existing highway. This turned previously unusable space into an urban oasis and bridged a divided downtown. You can check-out checkers or chess games for free from the attendants. They often have free live music or free movies in the park. There is also an upscale restaurant in the park. Within a block of several museums, opera & performing arts venues.
