The Columbia River Gorge is the number one tourist destination in our area. We recommend seeing it by way of the Historic Columbia River Gorge Highway. Stop at Crown Point and any of a number of waterfalls along the way to Multnomah Falls. Stop for a bite at the Multhnomah Falls Lodge.
Lovely park, gift shop, and of course lots of fish! Many breeding and holding tanks. Star of the show is Herman the Sturgeon, quite possibly the largest prehistoric fish you'll ever see.

A decent alternative to driving into see the Mt. St. Helens volcano. The visitor center is close to I-5. It's not as exciting as actually being at the foot of Mt. St. Helens, but a fine introduction to the events that led up to the eruption on May 18, 1980.

A decent alternative to driving into see the Mt. St. Helens volcano. The visitor center is close to I-5. It's not as exciting as actually being at the foot of Mt. St. Helens, but a fine introduction to the events that led up to the eruption on May 18, 1980.
