BEST people watching, not just for tourists! Friday night food trucks in summer, go online for the latest events there. There's something fun going on each weekend. Also check out the Japanese Friendship Garden (separate entry fee required) which is beautiful into itself and also offers private events like yoga and sound baths you can find on Eventbrite.

For a wonderful local hike, visit Lake Murray and walk the paved trail with the locals (it's about a 6-mile walk both directions, does not fully loop/connect). This is where we walk our dogs! The lake is open for shore fishing and kayak rentals are available. Permits can be purchased at the concession stand.
