This restaurant is our go-to for romantic dinners. We like to request the seating outside on the veranda looking out over the river. The menu is a little pricier (~$30 a plate) but the food is always fabulous!

This sweet local cafe is only open during the day, but has a beautiful rustic interior and makes yummy crepes. My favorite drink there is a lavender honey latte!

This outdoor local ice cream station has cheap cones for kids and endless options for yummy Sundaes. This is always a hot spot for families on the weekends and kids love when the train rides by. Only bummer is that it is seasonal and closes down during the cold months!

This place is verrrry pricey but the food was incredible. I have never experienced better customer service, either. The waiters/waitresses are incredible attentive.

This is a large park with plenty of room to run around. It has a children's playground, little train kiddy rides on the weekend, a baseball field and an amphitheater. They have some pretty cool events and musicians there throughout the year.

You can walk or bike this trail from Downtown Greenville clear up to Travelers Rest! I love visiting this organic-friendly cafe for a quick pick-me-up before walking this trail. In some areas you can even find bike rentals.

This is the Peacock Cottage! This little shop is so cute! They sell tons of refurbished and homemade goods. They also sell chalk paint and offer classes to teach you how to refurbish. Too adorable!

Pretty much every convenience you can think of is on this road (Fairview). This road can get busy, but it is a safe area and family-friendly. In addition to Target, you'll find Walmart, Kohls, Michaels, Subway, Chic Fil A, Zaxbys, Bi Lo, Publix, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

In the colder months, they turn this area into an open ice-skating rink and there are horse-drawn carriage rides under trees with white Christmas lights!

In the colder months, they turn this area into an open ice-skating rink and there are horse-drawn carriage rides under trees with white Christmas lights!
This is a super fun water park for families with kids! It's seasonal but definitely worth a good day at the pool! I recommend getting there right before they open because the line gets long fast!

This park is beautiful - a huge waterfall and river, with a large suspended bridge going over the water. There are so many cute local shops around there, too. You won't want to drive straight down Main Street, but if you drive down a nearby street and park for 2 hrs on the street or pay for $5 parking, it's worth the walk!

601 S Main StThis park is beautiful - a huge waterfall and river, with a large suspended bridge going over the water. There are so many cute local shops around there, too. You won't want to drive straight down Main Street, but if you drive down a nearby street and park for 2 hrs on the street or pay for $5 parking, it's worth the walk!
Beautiful hiking through the mountains. There's also a little lake back in there. Keep a small amount of cash with you for admission!

Getting Around

408 E North StWe have used this train station several times to commute to areas like Virginia. Late at night it seems a little unclean and a poorer clientele but we haven't had any problems with it.
