This restaurant is within walking distance. They serve delicious Mexican street food (you have to try the soft tacos), in a welcoming, relaxed environment. They always have great music, have unrivalled knowledge of tequila and mezcal (there are over 100 different varieties to try) and the cocktails are stunning (I love the bartenders ketchup!) Urban Reef - Seafront Restaurant in Bournemouth
Undercliff DriveUrban Reef is an stunning restaurant and cafe located right on the beach in Boscombe (a 30 minute walk on the beach or the promenade from the apartment). The views are absolutely incredible, the food and drink all locally sourced and home made, it’s always buzzing with families, couples, solo people, dog walkers et al. A perfect spot for lunch in the afternoon, evening drinks or a romantic evening meal with uninterrupted views of the sea.

I love visiting this café and head there regularly if I feel like treating myself to a day out at Mudeford Quay (awesome crabbing here) or Mudeford beach topped off with some lovely food. You can only get there by boat, land train or foot which all adds to the excitement!

Situated on the sandbank of Hengistbury head, the Beach House has stunning panoramic views across Christchurch harbour. I love visiting this café and head there regularly if I feel like treating myself to a day out at Mudeford Quay (awesome crabbing here) or Mudeford beach topped off with some lovely food. You can only get there by boat, land train or foot which all adds to the excitement!

Canvas is a beautiful bar and lounge with an extensive cocktail menu (my favourite cocktail here is the classic old fashioned), friendly experienced bar staff, stunning décor and world class live music acts playing on most Friday nights. Saturday nights are almost always free entry with DJs playing until late and the clientele is a bit older for a classy experience (mostly over 25). See if you can find their secret bar on the third floor to add to the experience!

Camel seems to open when everything else shuts - a true late night bar / club serving up drinks and shisha pipes until very very late (or early depending on whether you like to see the sun rise before heading home!) See if you can have a go on their bongo drums if you're feeling adventurous.

Aruba is a bar located at the start of Bournemouth pier. It has uninterrupted sea views and they serve great food and cocktails.
Top tip: Get a table outside on a Friday night in summer and that's your very own front row seat for the fireworks display that happens at 10pm.

We have a whopping 7 miles of golden sandy beaches that we regularly win awards for... No trip to Bournemouth is complete without a trip to the beach! For the Bournemouth Air Show weekend, get down to the beach early to secure a spot for the day.

Bournemouth Gardens are a must see on your trip and are Listed Grade II. You can take a beautiful walk / run or jog from the seafront through these gardens for 1.5 miles and take in the many trees, shrubs and plants from around the world. Gorgeous!

This park is within a 2 minute walk of the apartment and has the most incredible, uninterrupted views of the sea and Bournemouth beach from the cliff top. A must see when you're staying in Bay View Mews.

Bournemouth pier offers a stunning view point out onto the sea and surrounding areas. Whilst you're at the end of the pier, why not grab a drink in the lovely Key West or jump on the zipline? I did it last year and it was amazing fun!

Hengistbury Head is a great place to bring the whole family. Take the land train for gentle and easy access to Mudeford Sand spit, then enjoy the view with a cup of tea and a slice of cake, or something more substantial in one of the cafes.
If adventure is more your thing, you could take a course with the Outdoor Education Centre or enjoy the spectacular views, earned with a little effort, from the top of Warren Hill.

It also has the FIRST Pier to shore Zip Wire experience in the world with a launch tower towering above the sea giving an exhilarating “zip surf” over the waves to the beach. I did this last year and it was really fun!

The Odeon is a 5 minute walk from the apartment and shows all of the new films. This is moving shortly to a complex even closer called BH2 so keep an eye out for that and check before you visit!
